Boadicea - admin?

#1 Post by Dukor »

I’ve been playing on this server for over a year, and during that time I’ve had enough opportunity to watch both the in-game situation and how the administration reacts to different cases.

I want to point out several things that, from a player’s perspective, look questionable and raise serious concerns.

First, Boadicea has repeatedly referred to Russian players on the forum as the “Russian Syndicate.” At the same time, I have not seen any public reaction or warning from the moderators. That raises a simple question: why are comments like this being ignored when they are aimed at an entire group of players?

Second, today there was a very specific in-game situation. manunited attacked Romio1, who is part of an allied clan. After a call for help, we joined the defense, stopped the attack, and during that process saw that manunited had opened his capital. After that, we carried out normal in-game actions: raiding and spam attacks. In other words, this was a standard reaction within the game’s mechanics.

However, about four hours later, two bot bans were issued. Maybe that really is just a coincidence. But from the outside, it looks like the check happened very quickly and very specifically right after a conflict involving certain players.

I would also like to mention the administration’s usual response: “Checks may be initiated based on internal criteria and system data.” That answer may sound reasonable on its own, but it leads to an obvious question: if the system really detects violations based on objective internal criteria, why are players who have been under serious suspicion for a long time still playing without consequences? This creates the impression of selective enforcement.

Throughout all this time, I have tried to play quietly and avoid unnecessary conflicts. But as soon as a situation involved Boadicea, manunited, and manticora, sanctions followed almost immediately. It is exactly this pattern that makes it hard to believe that the same standards are applied equally to everyone.

The situation with manticora looks especially strange. As far as I know, evidence of possible bot use was collected, yet the final answer was once again that no violation had been found. As a result, it gives the impression that in some cases checks are quick and strict, while in others there never seems to be enough reason to act.

I am not making absolute claims, but as a long-time player, I cannot ignore how this looks from the outside. It gives the impression that certain players may be receiving preferential treatment. And that directly affects trust in the administration and in the fairness of the server as a whole.

What many players want to see is a clearer, more consistent, and equal approach to checks and punishments for everyone. Because once players start feeling that the rules are not applied equally, it slowly destroys trust in the game and the desire to keep playing.

what a difference two weeks makes

guess you forgot complaining about how others cry when things do not go their way

as for Romio1 that has been a multi forever as has the Dukor account (probably started life as a multi and is usually running a bot)

Quote " if the system really detects violations based on objective internal criteria, why are players who have been under serious suspicion for a long time still playing without consequences?" very good question that many of us ask because we all know (including admin) there is a certain group of you who cheat as a matter of fact and have been ruining the game for years and if admin was doing their job all the multi accounts you bunch are running would have been deleted years ago

oh, and it is a little late to worry about trust. you cheats have run the majority of honest players out of the game years ago and I would guess there are very few legit accounts any more so no one who has been here more than a month trusts admin or thinks they run the game fairly

First of all, this is actually my first time posting on the forum.

Second, only honest players are in a position to talk about honesty.

Third, everything we achieve, we achieve through in-game methods. Your side, on the other hand, seems to prefer relying on administrative influence.

It is quite strange to hear accusations about multis and bots from someone who has long been associated with exactly that.

Fourth, you say “your group cheats.” But manticora is not part of “our group” — that is clearly your side.

And yes, it is especially convenient to write all this from a multi account, isn’t it? The writing style makes it fairly obvious who is behind that account. What is really surprising is that the administration supposedly does not notice it, even though it looks quite obvious just from the forum posts alone.

I have the email from when I created this account in 2015, bet you can not produce the one for that account. I would also guess you lot have done plenty of whining to admin about your fantasies of me being a multi and I can guarantee you that if admin ever indulged your delusions and checked through the data they would find only one ip and MAC address has ever accessed this account in the past decade. bet the Dukor account would fail that test as well :D

"We were cheating so well until Boadicea got involved" isn't the Scarlet Letter you think it is
Before day break there were none
And as it broke there was one
The moon, the sun, it goes on'n'on
